Effective Ways To Advertise My Car

There are many ways that I use to advertise my car. As far as being effective goes, the best advice I can give is to use all of the methods that are available.

Free Ads

I use free methods and low cost methods of online classifieds. Most of these online classifieds will also let you post a picture. I highly recommend that you post a picture of your car with your ad.

It is easy to do so don't worry, all you do is follow the directions of the classified website that you are using. In less than ten minutes you will have a free ad posted. When I advertise my car it takes less than five minutes. Ten minutes is for a first timer, so as you can see it is easy.

When you go to the free advertising websites look for a link that says "post free ad" or "post an ad". Click on that link and follow directions.

I can't go into every detail about posting an ad because they all have different posting instructions. I will say that when you click on the link to post an ad, that it will give you instructions for how to do it.

Premium Ads

When I advertise my car, most of the free websites and the paid websites will have traffic reporting that allows you to see the number of times your ad has appeared in the website.

Most premium Ads offers free renewals so you may run your ad until you sell your car.

Condition

I think it is important to detail the overall condition of your car including any marks, scratches, dents, exact mileage, etc. I list all this information when I advertise my car.

If you have minor scratches and marks that are hardly noticeable, I would not include these details in my ad. I recommend telling this information over the phone when someone calls to inquire about the car.

Documents

I recommend having vehicle documents ready like vehicle history reports, maintenance record book, resell price data, etc.

If you don't have a car manual, I recommend getting one for your car. This is very important to me when I buy a car. I need the car manual to know how to operate many electronic devices as well as providing very good maintenance information.

Tip - Proper car maintenance is a very good selling Point. People love well maintained used cars.

Paid Advertising

Advertise until sold, online ads can run for as long as it takes to sell your vehicle. This is my personal choice that I use to advertise my car because it is less expensive in the long run.

I also want to remind you that the online classifieds are far less expensive than the print classifieds. Some print classifieds in your local paper can run up to $15 or more each week.

Advertising and selling your car online is one of the best options and it will definitely work if you do it right. This enables car buyers to search for a much wider variety of cars and provides car sellers with a huge amount of advertising exposure.
